Al began working with surfboards when he was 13 years old. He was the young, keen grom who enjoyed sweeping and cleaning the shaping bays at the local surfboard factory.

After a while he was promoted to surfboard repairs and artwork sprays. It was here Al found his passion and talent of shaping.

16 years on and a lot of handshaped boards Al is now using the latest technology available in computer shaping machines. Attention to detail has never been more accurate and precise.

He is currently focusing on designing and creating boards to suit all types of surfers for all conditions.

Al is a keen surfer who enjoys designing and testing boards with his team riders.
