AJ surfboards team rider Scott Myers recently became the 2010 Australian O/40s Surfmasters Title holder. The Australian Surf Festival was held again at Port Macquarie this year, a location with a good variety of waves. Most of the week however dished up small clean 1-2ft waves in which competitors just had to make the most of what was on offer.

Finals day (claimed 'Super Saturday') however saw a welcome pulse of Southerly swell with clean super fun waves in the 3-5 foot range at North Haven, offering a smorgasbord of great contestable waves for the nation's best amateur surfers.

In the over 40s final Scott scored an almost perfect 9.65, backing it up with an 8.25 and taking out the final by a large margin. A well deserved win Scotty! As well as this Scott also made it to the finals of the over 35s division which he placed 3rd.

Also competing was AJ surfboards team rider Sam Lendrum who placed 5th overall in the Open Mens division. A good result for our team riders!

AJ Surfbaords team rider Sam Lendrum has had nothing short of a successful year posting some great results on the Australiasian Pro Junior circuit and placing him in 20th position at years end.

Recently Sam was rated 29th in the latest ASL hot 100 Juniors.

Earlier in the year Sam finished an excellent 3rd at the WQS 2 star Mark Richards Pro held at Newcastle.

AJ Surfboards looks forward to working with and supporting Sam in the coming year as he competes in all of the Australian WQS events and the Pro Junior circuit.
